TEPAK SIREH
The Tepak Sireh (betel leaf container) is an exotic Malaysian handicraft, exquisitely crafted in an ancient tradition, which embodies the culture, art and history of the country. The ingredients of betel chew are usually kept in a traditional betel nut receptacle which is made up of kacip (nut slicer), containers for the lime (kapur), gambier, areca nut, tobacco, dried cloves and Betel leaves. As an object traditionally used for welcome and hospitality, it is also a symbol for communication, harmony and cooperation among the people.
