Pewter is an alloy composed of tin and other metals. The molten metal which is 'lead-free' today, is poured into preheated steel mould, filed and polished. The more complicated item are cast in several parts and soldered together so effeciently that one find is difficult to detect the joints.

The majority of the pewter's products are still hand-made and make fabulous gift and momentous today.


The Perisai Iban is made of hard wood and it was carried along with parang ilang by the Iban Warrior. Perisai Iban is carved on with Iban motif. This Perisai Iban is made from highly polished fine pewter and plated with gold.

Care Instruction :
1. Wash in soapy water using sponge
2. Pat dry with a soft cloth
