SYARIKAT PEMASARAN KARYANEKA SDN BHD, popularly and commercially known as “KARYANEKA”, was established in 1982 as a wholly owned corporate entity of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, which is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia.
Songket is a traditional Malaysian hand woven embroidered fabric. The term Songket is used to describe technique of weaving additional patterns into a material usually silk or cotton, with shimmering metallic gold, silver and colored threads to create the pattern of flora or fauna.
