SYARIKAT PEMASARAN KARYANEKA SDN BHD, popularly and commercially known as “KARYANEKA”, was established in 1982 as a wholly owned corporate entity of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, which is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia.
Batik is a distinctive feature of the Malay fine arts and culture. It has grown to claim a place in the mainstream of the fashion industry, with the introduction of contemporary designs and fabrics that allow for diverse applications. Motifs are inspired by flora and fauna among other forms of Nature, and by geometrical shapes.
